A company located in Austin, TX looking for a Tableau Developer to develop and maintain reporting solutions with an emphasis on Tableau if you have heavy SQL and light tableau that is good. This role is also responsible for analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics. Other responsibilities include data extraction, creating stored procedures, ad-hoc queries, SQL scripting, data integration, and working on new reporting requests or change requests that are coming into the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, develop and maintain reporting solutions
Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and offer solutions
Support ad-hoc requests for data and analysis
Architect and implement databases and datasets
Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and other data integration
Assist in the maintenance of various business applications systems[/li][/list]
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years working with analytical and visualization tools
Proven knowledge in MS SQL scripting and SQL tools
Strong understanding of basic database structures and best practices
Knowledge of SAP Crystal Reporting and Cognos preferred
A high degree of flexibility and adaptability commensurate with working on a small technology team
Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
The ability to work and communicate in a direct and candid environment
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to understand and communicate organizational goals and objectives
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Sitting for extended periods of time
Occasional travel may be required
Occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or implement new solutions
